Dalan Management is a real estate investment and management firm that owns, operates, and manages a portfolio of multifamily and commercial properties in New York, Arizona, Texas and California. We currently own and operate over fifty properties comprised of approximately 3,000 residential units and 100 commercial units across more than 2,000,000 square feet. In addition to our equity investments, we recently launched a joint venture fund with Bain Capital targeting distressed real estate asset and high yield debt .
JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Acquisitions Analyst
Location: New York, NY
Start Date: Immediately
Role: The Acquisitions Analyst will support the real estate investment team in sourcing, underwriting and executing equity investments. He/she will also work within our joint venture debt fund to perform quantitative modeling and financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and analyze potential acquisition opportunities using complex excel models
- Conduct comprehensive market research and perform detailed deal level due diligence
- Draft investment memos and create presentations for internal reviews and for limited partner investors and joint venture partners
- Assist in all aspects of deal transactions including financing, legal, documentations and accounting
- Prepare closing statements and perform distribution waterfall calculations
- Interfacing with the asset management team and the accounting department
- Assist with quarterly investor reporting and annual valuation assessments
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of relevant work experiences in commercial real estate
- Advanced analytical skills and familiarity with discounted cash flow models
- Proficiency in Excel is a must and knowledge of using ARGUS is a plus but not necessary
- Experience with closing transactions, specifically executing closing documents and distribution waterfall calculations
- Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, economics or business
- Strong work ethic with a desire to learn and advance in the real estate industry
