Lexington Partners is seeking a Director of Acquisitions for their growing portfolio. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with the acquisition, underwriting and due diligence for existing multifamily properties and a real desire to aggressively pursue acquisition opportunities both in the Northeast, Midwest submarkets, with particular emphasis on B & C class work force housing the Southeast market.
Demonstrated experience in the acquisitions, financing, and development of multifamily and mixed-use real estate is required for consideration. The ability to identify opportunities, perform analysis and then participate in and/or direct the preparation of investment packaging, and capital raise. The ability to present to investors and cultivate relationships are key skills.
We are looking for someone with at least 10 years of experience and a proven record of success in real estate acquisitions. High level of integrity and dependability and a strong sense of urgency, details and results oriented, ability to work independently and in collaboration with senior staff. The Director of Acquisitions will report to the President of the company and will sit on our Investment Committee to present opportunities and strategize with senior members of the company.
The candidate will be in charge of sourcing, underwriting and acquiring multifamily investment opportunities. Main duties and responsibilities include:
• Identify, underwrite and recommend acquisition opportunities by interfacing with brokerage community, researching property, demographic and other pertinent information within target markets .
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with brokers, lenders, sellers, equity partners and other professionals.
Other Responsibilities:

Source acquisition opportunities with creative value add potential; prepare investment memorandums with strategic plan, proforma and timeline

Work with due diligence, asset management to underwrite potential acquisitions and complete due diligence process

Present to executive team and investment committee

Be primarily responsible for reaching the company’s goal of apartment units acquired per year, in accordance with company’s growth objectives.
Compensation:
A competitive base salary plus bonuses directly tied to productivity with multifamily acquisitions. The firm’s target is to purchase approximately 2,000 apartment units in 2020.
