Controller
A privately held real estate investment firm focused on value-add institutional commercial real estate in California is seeking to hire a Controller who wants to work with our team in a friendly, low stress environment and has the ability to take on the top financial role.
Duties
Consolidate financial statements and prepare quarterly institutional investor reports.
Review monthly property reports prepared by outside property management companies.
Coordinate, review and prepare annual operating budgets.
Create monthly job cost reports for all properties.
Prepare and/or review loan draws for construction projects.
Oversee MRI system administration, creation of new report, and system updates.
Record all acquisition, disposition, and lending activities.
Coordinate annual financial audits and tax returns.
Evaluate internal control systems and accounting policies and make recommendation for modifications.
Ideal Candidate will have the following qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting or equivalent required.
CPA License a plus
15+ years of accounting experience
5+ years of real estate experience
Highly organized, detailed and solutions oriented
Strong Excel Skills
