Description
CBRE|HEERY is looking for an Inspector to verify in-place construction for various types of projects (mostly facilities and vertical construction) in the Annandale, Va. area.
The ideal candidate will have experience with vertical construction, MEP, electrical, and finishes.
- Verifies that in-place construction complies with contract documents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- On-site inspection of various aspects of construction site.
- Verifies that construction is in accordance with contract documents,including design, mechanical, electrical and plumbing specifications.
- Reviews design documents.
- No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.
Education and Experience
- Associate's degree in a related field; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
Financial Knowledge
- Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
