Financial Analyst

KAR Properties is a real estate development and investment firm primarily focused in key gateway cities. The team has over 50 years of combined experience in acquisitions, structured finance, development, investment, and asset management. The firm is seeking a financial analyst who will be responsible for creating and maintaining financial models, reporting, and providing analytical support for current, future, and prospective transactions.

DUTIES

• Perform due diligence and underwriting of prospective acquisitions and developments
• Prepare financial modeling to support and guide both acquisition and asset management decisions
• Advanced Excel modeling skills with the ability to create excel models from scratch and model multiple scenarios
• Maintain current portfolio models
• Prepare presentation materials on new and existing investments for internal and external uses
• Assists in preparation of special studies, analyses, and recommendations in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, statistical reports, and business forecasts.
• Conducting regular market analyses for each investment to maintain insight into project progress and performance
• Review industry information as well as economic and demographic trends

EXPERIENCE

• 2+ years of commercial real estate advisory and/or real estate finance experience, including underwriting and financial modeling.
• Quantitative and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of real estate market fundamentals, financial terms, concepts, and accounting principles
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail with superior organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work within a fast-paced work environment.
• Four-year degree required
