CBRE's Design practice is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team.  This position with work from our office in New York City at 200 Park Avenue.  This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate with some good internships or one with a few years of experience to work on complex mechanical building systems.  The Mechanical Engineer will assist the engineering team supporting large commercial, public and industrial projects.  CBRE's Design practice is growing!  Come grow your career with us.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Under the direction of a senior engineer, prepares mechanical designs and perform calculations in support of large commercial and industrial projects - both renovation and new construction.

 

Supports the design of mechanical-focused HVAC projects and as well as the MEP/Fire Protection engineering team

 

Assists engineer with planning the layout of a project and integrates engineering elements.

 

Assists in preparation of Revit and AutoCAD drawings and construction documents.

 

Assists engineer with preparing operating and maintenance manuals, studies, and reports.


Bachelor's Degree  or Master's Degree from four-year college or university in Mechanical Engineering.

 

Minimum 0 to 2 years experience required.  The preferred candidate will have experience with Mechanical Building Systems.

 

Experience with Revit and AutoCAD preferred

 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.

 

Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.

 

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
