Position Summary

Crow Holdings Industrial seeks a Vice President of Construction in Atlanta who will be responsible for supporting the design, development and construction operations of all industrial development projects.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assists in predevelopment diligence, budgeting and feasibility
  • Manages third party general contractor hard bid process
  • Assists development team with project design and manages third party consultants
  • Monitors and documents plans, specifications, budgets and contracts for all planned projects
  • Works closely with development team in the preparation and negotiation of all construction and consultant agreements
  • Oversees pricing analysis/budgeting (for building and tenant improvement construction), RFI’s, change orders, submittals and testing reports
  • Manages monthly progress and construction status report to equity partners
  • Attends OAC meetings and handles general contractor oversight
  • Provides feedback on site design and value engineering alternatives
  • Manages preconstruction and budgeting for new projects
  • Assists in permitting and zoning processes

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field required
  • 5+ years of related experience in field construction administration and estimating (industrial construction experience preferred); Direct management experience required
  • Experience working with an owner/general contractor
  • Effective interpersonal and leadership skills with experience as both a team player and coach both locally and within a national organization
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills, analytical ability and operational focus
  • Knowledge of construction procedures, codes, budgeting, and scheduling practices
  • Ability to understand financial statements, including profit and loss, general ledgers, and budgets
