Anchor Health Properties, a national full-service real estate development, management, and investment company, is seeking a Real Estate Development Intern to join their team. The Real Estate Development Intern will be part of a team that supports the Asset Management, Property Management, Development and Acquisition services of Anchor Health Properties and its affiliated entities and clientele.

The primary function of the Real Estate Development Intern will be to have first-hand exposure to the development line of the business, including but not limited to special projects, pre-development and development activities, budgeting, scheduling and coordination of general development, design and construction activities. The Intern will play a key role in the communication with external and internal parties and support active development projects in a variety of phases in the development cycle.

 

Job Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

General

  • Assist with preparation and presentation of team project assignments in a clear and concise manner
  • Conduct assigned research projects and prepare informal summaries for business development and management decision purposes
  • Analyze performance deficiencies and develop projections and workout scenarios
  • Support development team to advance projects through the development process
  • Assist with company evaluations and responses to Requests for Proposals (RFP)
  • Support project management software (Procore) functionality, reporting, and data collection

Development

  • Participate in the coordination and execution of all aspects of the project development process including legal, finance, design and construction
  • Assist the Development Manager in the preparation and management of project budgets, cash flows, invoices, contracts, and schedules
  • Prepare for, and attend as feasible, project team meetings including but not limited to approvals, due diligence, site planning, architectural and MEP design, and construction management
  • Draft assignable meeting minutes and follow up on priority items to achieve project deliverables  
  • Contribute to the review and negotiation of Development Agreements, Tenant Space Leases, vendor contracts, and other documents required
  • Communicate internally and externally with project team members to support project execution
  • Assist in the organization and communication of key project milestones and document status
  • Coordinate activities of multiple parties, both internal and external, responsible for development projects 

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, an energetic work-ethic, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Identify as a “teachable” employee and have a “can-do” attitude, professional correspondence etiquette, strong interpersonal skills and take “ownership”/pride in work deliverables
  • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to self-manage and complete tasks with a certain degree of autonomy
  • Possess strong customer service skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point

 

Education and Experience:

  • Pursuing an undergraduate or master's degree in A/E, Construction, Real Estate, or relevant degrees.
