Responsibilities

As a Vice President of Client Business Development with Hines, you will act as a partner who actively pursues and responds to new business opportunities and manages the end to end sales process, from lead generation to the preparation and presentation of bid documentation to conformity of the commercial terms. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Partner with Regional Leadership and the Property and Integrated Facilities Management teams to focus on strategic growth of the business, regional profitability and client expansion/contraction
  • Identify, source, build and procure a long-term active pipeline of existing, new and diverse clients with a variety of real estate workstream solutions (property management, facilities management, construction management, project management, asset management)
  • Develop and build long-term professional customer relationships with existing, new and potential clients, and maintain excellent relationships and after-sales support to build mutual confidence in line with agreed business strategies
  • Collaborate with regional leadership and the Central IFM platform to lead RFP responses for West Region new business pursuits
  • Take complete ownership of, develop and deliver exceptional sales and tender documents and presentations, in line with Hines standards
  • Provide inspirational leadership championing the differentiated Hines brand, culture and standards across the market and within Hines
  • Develop strategies for high value/high margin business growth of enterprise clients, with scale and profitability
  • Work with existing Accounts to renew expiring contracts and grow scopes of services
  • Support onboarding of new accounts and facilitate major transformation initiatives, where appropriate
  • Represent Hines in selected business, community and industry organizations and groups, with an emphasis on identifying prospective clients and other growth opportunities
  • Offer thought leadership and competitive market awareness to recognize and anticipate the evolution of client needs and fully align best in class service delivery models
  • Develop and maintain ethical and professional relationships with consultants, clients, customers, and vendors
  • Foster an inclusive work environment and support diversity, equity and inclusion objectives
  • Elevate customer and employee experience and engagement; utilize multi-channel feedback and survey results to interpret and strategically act for continuous improvement


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

 

  • Bachelor's degree required from an accredited institution
  • Master's in Business Administration a plus
  • Fiften or more years of related experience, with at least 10 years leading high performing Property & Integrated Facility Management teams
  • A minimum of 5 years proven sales/business development experience from a relevant FM/Property background
  • Proficiency creating exceptional quality sales documents
  • Experience successfully delivering high level presentations
  • P&L responsibility and budgetary oversight experience preferred
  • Highly proficient with a range of information technology, tools and platforms including Microsoft Office
  • Impeccable integrity and reputation
  • Flexible and creative thinker able to blend industry practice with Hines unique capabilities
  • Superior stakeholder navigation skills; ability to prioritize and navigate the needs of region, clients, and the firm overall
