LEM Capital ( LEM ) is seeking a high-energy, self-motivated individual with an entrepreneurial spirit to be a member of the asset management team. This individual will play an integral role in managing and driving the performance of an active and expanding multifamily investment portfolio and will have the opportunity to join a successful and growing organization where he/she will gain broad exposure to value-add multifamily real estate transactions nationwide.

 

The individual will assist the asset management team with all portfolio responsibilities. These responsibilities include working directly with senior management and joint venture partners to drive property-level performance and necessary business plan modifications and to monitor property operations, leasing trends, capital improvement projects, refinance strategies and dispositions. This individual will conduct on-site visits and will be instrumental in generating and presenting property valuations and asset performance updates to the investment and valuation committees. Other responsibilities may include working directly with the acquisitions team during the underwriting process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary areas of focus include:

  • Monitoring investment performance, financial analysis, site inspections and property documentation and tracking capital improvement progress.
  • Ongoing business plan and operating partner evaluations to include the presentation of recommendations to the investment committee.
  • Regular discussion and research to monitor markets of existing investments.
  • Preparation of verbal and written presentations to the investment and valuation committees.
  • Ongoing market, asset and portfolio level reviews to guide strategic investment and operational decisions.

 

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably with a major in finance, real estate, accounting or economics.
  • Ideal candidate will have 4 to 9 years of experience working with a real estate company, lender or private equity fund with experience in property management or asset management of multifamily properties.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Strong understanding of all aspects of real estate operations and financing processes including, but not limited to, market analysis, financial analysis, property valuation and capital markets.
  • Team player who works well with others, is organized, proactive, self-directed, conscientious and assumes accountability and responsibility for specific performance and work product.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to identify opportunities and risks that could adversely affect investments and recommend solutions.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Position will require some travel and is based in Philadelphia.
