Join our Macquarie Capital division as an Analyst in our New York or Chicago office. You will analyze, execute, and manage investments in equity, preferred equity, and debt opportunities across North America and make impact as part of a small global team. You will work on complex transactions across property types and the entire capital structure via acquisitions, portfolio management, and dispositions.  Necessary skills and experience include attention to detail, curiosity, high quantitative aptitude, modeling, ability to manage changing workloads and priorities, and strong communication, presentation, and organization skills. 

In this role you’ll be responsible for screening potential real estate investment opportunities across the capital stack and in various geographies, underwriting/preparing detailed financial analyses and drafting investment memoranda/Power Point presentations detailing deal merits, financial metrics, risk and mitigants and analysis of market data. In addition, you will be conducting in-dept market research and interfacing with brokers and market participants, supporting acquisitions, asset/portfolio management, and dispositions processes, including through working with internal and external teams during deal structuring, due diligence, financing negotiations and business plan execution.

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • 1-2 years of experience in commercial real estate analysis or real estate investment banking
  • Extensive complex financial modeling experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite as well as Argus
