Come join a fast growing, well-capitalized company focused on growing its industrial real estate portfolio across North America. As the Real Estate Transaction Coordinator you will be primarily responsible for helping NFI manage the growth of its more than 60 million square feet of industrial real estate which it occupies and operates throughout the US and Canada.

The Real Estate Transaction Coordinator will report to the VP of Real Estate and will work closely with the Real Estate Manager and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to provide industrial real estate solutions and manage leasing transactions in a collegial and entrepreneurial environment. 

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to grow their commercial real estate knowledge by joining a leading supply chain and logistics company.  This position is based at the NFI Headquarters along the Camden NJ waterfront in a newly constructed, 18-story office tower offering unparalleled views of Center City Philadelphia, café, fitness center, and local restaurants.  The Camden waterfront location provides easy connections to area highways, bridges, and public transportation systems.   

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Intake and completion of various real estate related requests from within the company, including but not limited to:
    • New requests for available real estate, rental rates, operating expenses, and other market data.
    • Coordination with brokers and landlords on property surveys, comparative analysis, and site visits.
    • Preparation of presentation materials and marketing packages.
  • Portfolio and database management activities including the tracking and reporting of lease expiration and renewal dates, rent schedules, operating expense audits, property taxes and potential tax appeals, maintenance and repair responsibilities, and insurance certificates.
  • Assist the VP of Real Estate and Real Estate Manager with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating Letters of Intent, Leases, and other commercial property contracts.
  • Help continuing development of best practices within the NFI’s Real Estate group.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university with major coursework in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
  • One (1) to Three (3) years of deal management and/or transactional experience in the Real Estate industry.
  • Must be highly organized, driven, and able to manage multiple tasks/projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills with strong attention to detail and diligent follow-up.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast growing, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Gmail, Microsoft Excel, CoStar and Salesforce proficiency is a plus.
  • Ability to build network of brokers, developers, consultants as resources.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality with portfolio information.
  • Must be willing to solve problems and get results.
  • Travel for site visits, meetings, and conferences estimated to be 15%.
