Position: In-House Real Estate Attorney
Corporate Office in Baltimore, MD
CONTINENTAL REALTY CORPORATION (CRC) is seeking a Real Estate Attorney to work in our corporate headquarters located in Baltimore, Maryland reporting to the General Counsel/Senior Vice President. The Real Estate Attorney will act as in-house real estate counsel and will work closely with outside counsel and Legal team members in providing counsel on real estate and commercial law to the various departments in the company.

Responsibilities:
- Lease and Contract Support: Manage and support outside counsel in the negotiation and drafting of leases and contracts. Manage internal work flows from lease request to lease abstract. Support CRC’s inhouse paralegals and provide overall support to Commercial and other departments.
- Transaction Support: Assist CRC’s Acquisition, Disposition, and Financing teams, including review of leases, contracts, and title documents, and preparation, collection and review of estoppels and SNDA’s.
- Compliance: Coordinate Lease Summary Charts and other relevant lease info and respond to inquiries from Commercial retail and other department team. Maintain lease, contract, and other relevant property forms for each applicable jurisdiction. Monitor state and regulatory licenses and filings. Assist in the CRC Fund subscription and document process. Maintain entity documents. Assist CRC Compliance Officer as needed.
- Litigation: Supervise and coordinate with outside counsel and General Counsel in litigation and collection matters, and insurance claims. Assist Lease Administration and Property Management with review of lease and contract provisions and default notices.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible and relevant work experience.

Undergraduate and Juris Doctor degrees required.

Admission to practice of law in the State of Maryland required.

Ability to provide consistent, high-quality legal analysis and advice.

Ability to produce significant volume of work to meet established business goals, standards, and schedules.

Working knowledge of various Microsoft products including O365, Word and Excel.

Some travel may be required locally or regionally on a limited basis.

Position includes hybrid work model requiring at least 3 days a week working in Corporate Office.

Salary commensurate with experience, 150K range.
