Dunbar believes there is a long-term opportunity to provide attractive risk adjusted returns to investors by investing in quality multifamily assets that need to be repositioned with additional capital and/or professional management efforts.

 

About the Position:

Dunbar is seeking an Acquisitions Associate to work closely with the firm’s President to source, underwrite and see new deals through the closing process. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience in the real estate industry and has strong quantitative, analytical and communications skills. The candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter, have the ability to work both independently and in a team environment, and be able drive multiple tasks with competing priorities.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Source on and off-market acquisition opportunities in the Southern California and Phoenix marketplaces.
  • Develop strong working relationships with brokers and other market participants.
  • Underwrite potential acquisitions and perform investment due diligence.
  • See new investments through the closing process.
  • Create investment memoranda and other presentation materials for prospective acquisitions.
  • Communicate and collaborate with various partners, brokers, lenders, and other third parties.

 

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in real estate with a background in multifamily investing strongly preferred.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office suite products.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.

 

Compensation
