Description

Radnor Property Group ("Radnor") is seeking a highly motivated individual to join their real estate development team as a Development Manager. Radnor is a leading, privately held real estate company which specializes in the development of multi-family, mixed-use and student housing projects across the east coast. Founded in 1999, Radnor has actively developed real estate projects valued at over $3 billion. Radnor is headquartered in suburban Philadelphia (Wayne, PA) with regional offices in Atlanta, GA and Hanover, NH.

The individual will enhance the Company’s development capacity in the Northeast and Southeast US. This person will be involved in every stage of the development cycle for market rate multi-family housing and student housing projects. Radnor’s preference is for the position to be based at its headquarters in Wayne, PA, although certain exceptions may be made for outstanding candidates seeking employment in Atlanta, GA. Frequent travel is expected.

The initial procurement stages for multi-family transactions include financial analysis and due diligence of land acquisitions being considered for development. For on-campus student housing opportunities, initial procurement often includes responding to RFPs by colleges & universities for the development of needed residential halls and other auxiliary uses for Radnor’s long-term ownership and management. After successful project procurement, this individual’s responsibilities will include refinement of financial underwriting and managing the development process (e.g., assembling project design/engineering teams, programming, design coordination, entitlements, construction activities, and working closely with Radnor’s asset management team). Projects will typically be ground-up or redevelopment opportunities in urban or suburban communities of growth.

The position represents a unique opportunity to work closely with company leadership and become a well-rounded developer. The right candidate will be detailed, process-oriented, organized, thoughtful, a problem solver, good communicator, collaborator and excited to contribute to the company’s transformative growth.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze project feasibility based on the goals of the development
  • Responsible for day-to-day project management through all phases of development, including procurement, entitlements, design and construction
  • Assemble and coordinate the design, engineering & construction teams and attend regular site visits and construction meetings to ensure on-schedule and on-budget delivery
  • Assist in proposal writing efforts for on-campus student housing RFPs (as needed)
  • Participate in financial analysis and structuring of transactions with assistance and supervision of Radnor’s underwriting team and legal counsel
  • Prepare and maintain pre-development & development budgets and construction draws
  • Navigate site plan and permitting processes with various public entities (including zoning, land use, traffic, stormwater, and others as required)
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with third-party vendors
  • Prepare internal and external monthly/quarterly reports pertaining to project status and asset performance
Qualifications / Skills
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Real Estate, Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, Urban Planning, Architecture, or related field
  • 6+ years real estate development experience, preferably in multi-family housing
  • Strong quantitative & analytical skills and an understanding of how to create, interpret and analyze detailed financial analyses
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines and communicate effectively with internal and outside consultants, vendors, and stakeholders
  • Well organized with attention to detail and strong negotiation skills
  • Strong writing and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
