Role Summary

Baron Management Services Inc. (d/b/a Baron Properties) is seeking an experienced Investment Analyst to join Baron’s team based in Denver, Colorado. The individual will support and work alongside senior team members in managing new and ongoing investment and development activities across multiple asset classes in western US markets.
The primary focus of the role is assisting in the investment and development procurement activities required to support the growth of the company. Investment and development team members are required to underwrite and actively contribute to Baron’s vertically integrated multifamily, self-storage, industrial, and NNN build-to-suit investment and development platforms.
It is expected that the candidate will possess an acute attention to detail with the capacity to interpret, analyze, and determine the viability of a broad range of new and ongoing investment and development projects. As part of a dynamic and entrepreneurial team, the position provides a unique opportunity to grow and evolve with the business.

Key Functions

• Assist senior team members to identify, analyze, and present new/unique real estate investment and development opportunities.
• Assist in due diligence activities for new acquisitions and developments.
• Prepare detailed investment memorandums and presentation materials for Baron’s executive leadership and for the company’s debt and equity capital partners.
• Work on complex financial models using Microsoft Excel, Argus, and other software to analyze prospective investment and development opportunities; ; provide sensitivity analysis to evaluate the impact of certain variables.
• Perform in-depth market research including rental comps, sales comps, and economic and demographic trends and asset-specific due diligence; Receive, analyze, and summarize market studies. Establish intimate knowledge base of target markets.
• Interface with lenders, brokers, internal operations teams, and other third parties.

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Must have a great attitude and be willing to provide high-level and low-level support across multiple business lines within the company.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to summarize complicated analysis for key decision markets
• Attention to detail and thoroughness a must
• Ability to work efficiently and urgently without close oversight
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience (real estate investment, development, finance, or real estate lending experience is preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree – real estate, finance, or accounting
• Advanced Microsoft Office & Argus Enterprise experience
Compensation
• $60,000-$105,000 annually, commensurate with experience
• Salary + discretionary bonus
