WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE

Revantage Capital Markets team is a key contributor supporting financing activities under Blackstone Real Estate. As an Associate you will be responsible for handling a wide range of analytical, origination, assumption and reporting activities relating to Blackstone’s loan facilities, and coordinating with Blackstone Capital Markets and other internal teams including Operations, Treasury, Accounting, Tax and Legal. This position is based out of Revantage’s headquarters in Chicago, IL.

HOW YOU ADD VALUE:

  • Coordinate loan closing process and assist in real estate transactions working directly with Blackstone Capital Markets, Blackstone Acquisitions, Portfolio Company Acquisitions teams and legal counsel.
  • Provide critical support in the origination of new debt facilities, including CMBS, Agency, and Balance Sheet loans.
  • Assist in execution of public market debt and equity transactions, securitization, private market secured and unsecured credit facilities, and interest rate and currency hedging transactions.
  • Coordinate and organize the collection of diligence materials for lenders and servicers
  • Address lender inquiries
  • Familiarity with reviewing loan agreements
  • Calculate paydown amounts for collateral releases
  • Update quarterly Board Book debt schedules and summaries
  • Maintaining debt database for new and ongoing transactions
  • Assist with ALA summary maintenance
  • Review debt service statements and FF&E files

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related area
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Treasury/Capital Markets
  • Loan agreement familiarity
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Solid understanding of Accounting, Finance, and Business principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong quantitative and spreadsheet skills
  • Detail oriented and self-motivated
  • Strong technological, analytical, and problem-solving skills with superior attention to detail
  • Sound judgment in dealing with lender relations and in evaluating when to appropriately escalate issues
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented, self-starter, team player, and have ability to handle multiple projects at once

Preferred:

  • Commercial, Hotel, Retail, Industrial, or Multifamily real estate experience
  • Chatham experience
