CLIENT SUMMARY

Our firm is representing an independent, real assets advisor in its search for a Vice President, Real Estate Investment Banking and Liquidity Solutions who will be based in New York City, The firm offers a range of transformational advisory and capital raising solutions to help clients achieve sustainable growth, enhance flexibility and meet their strategic objectives. The team offers clients integrated solutions across investment banking, capital raising, and strategic advisory services. As part of their growth strategy the firm is committed to adding talent to the Real Estate Investment Banking and Liquidity Solutions team.  The Vice President will be a key hire and will join the team at a pivotal expansion point.  They will be expected to contribute to business strategy and to add significant leverage to the growth of the business.

 

                                                 POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will advise on mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, capital raising, investment sales and corporate finance. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Underwrite and execute real estate related mandates including the development  of complex entity level and asset level models
  • Oversee production of all marketing materials (pitch materials, CIM’s, RFP’s’ DDQ’s. etc.)
  • Interface directly with clients and investors to achieve a seamless execution process across investor outreach, due diligence and investor Q&A
  • Train Analysts and Associates and oversee their work product
  • Help establish and implement best practices across the global team
  • Build strong internal relationships across geographic regions to drive results and encourage team collaboration.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Relevant backgrounds, include, investment banking, real estate services or major brokerage firms, real estate consulting, private equity firms, endowments, investment arms of major insurance firms, commercial banking or, perhaps, a major owner operator of real estate. Experience and skills will include:

  • Extensive real estate knowledge across multiple asset classes and investment risk profiles (ideally in an investment banking / sell-side capacity)
  • Minimum 7 years relevant experience
  • Experience leading the day-to-day execution of sell-side transactions or other similar / transferable experience 
  • Demonstrable history of strong execution across a variety of real estate transactions including joint venture formation; recapitalizations; entity level investments, etc.
  • Fluency communicating across operator, GP and LP constituencies
  • Advanced proficiency across Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of Argus Enterprise preferred (although not required)
  • Sophisticated financial skills and superb analytical ability
  • Demonstrated ability with complex financial transactions
  • Demonstrated success at winning client confidence and respect
  • Solid client management skills
  • FINRA SIE, Series 7, Series 63, and Series 79 licenses (can attain after joining Sera Global)
  • Excellent communicator (both verbal and written)
  • Strong work ethic with commitment to meeting deadlines despite juggling multiple priorities
