Summary:

A 30+ year New York City based student housing company is seeking a full-time Investment Analyst [“Analyst”] for immediate hire. The Analyst will support the execution of the Company's urban student housing investment and asset management platforms by performing comprehensive financial analyses comprising: underwriting acquisition and development opportunities, asset valuations, monthly analysis of portfolio performance, and ad-hoc reports.

The Investment Analyst will work closely with senior team members and its blue chip investment partners.  The position brings a high level of responsibility and growth opportunity for the right individual at a company that is both nimble and entrepreneurial in its operations and institutional in its capital deployment capabilities. The role reports to the Vice President of Investments.

Job Responsibilities:

Conducts financial analysis of student housing investment opportunities in the New York City metropolitan area through detailed pro-forma and DCF models.

Synthesize financial presentations for investment, lease packages, and redevelopment opportunities.

Project management.

Assist with quarterly reporting and investment committee memorandums.

Hands-on asset management for development ad stabilized assets.

Review portfolio operating performance and key performance indicators.

Support due diligence efforts in pursuit of acquisitions.

Conduct thorough market research.

Enhance ESG reporting.

Assist with other ad-hoc projects across other strategic business units.

Hybrid role expected to be in the office 2-3 days per week but reside in the NYC metropolitan area.

Qualifications:  

Demonstrated analytical rigor and genuine interest in Real Estate.

Highly motivated individual with uncompromising integrity and good work ethic. 

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Excellent academic record with an undergraduate degree.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

1-2 years of work experience in Real Estate Finance, Investment Banking, Accounting, Consulting, or related field.
