It includes Corporate Strategy, Corporate Communications, Land O’Lakes Foundation and Community Relations, Finance, Law, Member Relations, Facilities, Event Strategy, Security, Human Resources, Information Technology, Corporate Marketing and Government Relations.

 

 
Job Description and Qualifications
 

Position Purpose:

 

Provide leadership and work direction to building maintenance team. This person will be accountable for removing obstacles, solving problems and empowering the building maintenance team to exceed in meeting their performance measures. In addition, will be responsible for the operation, repair and preventative of building mechanical systems and all supporting programs. Capital, budget and project management support.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

• Accountable for the oversight of building operations and grounds, repairs and program development for preventative maintenance of the Arden Hills and Shoreview buildings heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems, low and high pressure boilers, motors, pumps, steam, vacuum and fuel systems, electrical gear and services, plumbing fixtures, refrigeration equipment and utilities for the buildings. This includes IT Data Center cooling and Research and Development labs.

 

• Provides direction for maintenance, upgrades and has operational knowledge of the fire notification, paging, mechanical back up equipment. Maintains and is knowledgeable of building operating conditions and equipment in accordance to national, state and local building codes. accountable for maintaining existing and implementing current and new safety procedures.

 

• Responsible for maintaining the Building Automation System (BAS) to maximize operational effectiveness for building systems and equipment for environmental comfort and energy reduction.

 

• Accountable for outsource and service contracts and support, anticipates and establish long range building capital and annual building operating budgets. Responsible for establishing the capital or operating cost for project management support.

 

• Responsible for providing the building maintenance staff leadership, work direction and professional development.

 

 

Qualifications

Experience-Education (Required):

 

• Associates Degree in Construction and Building Technology at a minimum, and a B.S. in Engineering or Engineering Technology with seven years’ or more experience in maintenance in a larger corporate environment.

• Previous supervisory experience (preferred)

• Minnesota state boilers license first class 1-B

• Knowledgeable of national, state and local building codes and the impact to the building operations, OSHA and ANSI standards

• Experience with DDS controls and energy management systems programming and operation for Alerton and Distech.

• Demonstrated people and leadership skills with track record of achieving positive results

• Program development for the PM (Preventative Maintenance) program, with experience in  

computer bases software

• Must have ability to be on-call one week per month for non-peak hour needs.

• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to multi-task and work with frequent interruptions

• Must be able to build and foster relationships at all levels of an organization and address

  conflict through appropriate resolution skills and techniques

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Suite and Outlook required

 

 

Experience-Education (Preferred):

 

• Demonstrated capacity for advancement through certificate programs, seminars, individual classes and professional association memberships
