Managing Director – Capital Markets

A leading NYC based real estate investment sales and asset management firm is seeking to hire an experienced professional as a Managing Director – Capital Markets Originator to expand nationally a debt and equity advisory platform.  The opportunity will leverage both the Group’s full-service platform and the 30-year relationships and track record in the greater NYC metro market. Additionally, the firm has assembled a seasoned investment team to launch a series of unique private equity funds focused on the private client to make direct real estate investments around the US in a co-investment format with larger private equity and institutional partners.

The position will offer both profit sharing on the advisory business and provide the recurring exclusive opportunity to handle the placement of the debt and the joint venture equity needed for the real estate acquisitions and refinancing executed by the affiliated fund vehicles.

The Managing Director should have a track record of, and will be responsible for, originating and underwriting new mortgage brokerage and equity placement business. Additionally, the Managing Director will be responsible for recruiting, training and managing a dedicated team of commercial mortgage brokers to work under his/her supervision.

The Managing Director will manage the day-to-day operations of the division and manage and grow the team. Responsibilities include borrower lead generation, client management, lender relationships, equity relationships, deal structuring and placement, team recruiting and management. The candidate will also be responsible for generating leads from and delegating leads to his/her team from other divisions of the firm.

Additionally, the Managing Director is expected to entertain clients, attend conferences and organize or participate in other networking events as he/she grows and represents the brand.  The Managing Director shall report into the firm’s executive management team and participate in shaping the growth of the business.
