Job Description:

The Asset Manager will be responsible for managing assets within a $2.5B portfolio. The position involves vertically integrated asset management functions including strategic decision making, leasing, overseeing in-house and third-party property management, leasing teams, and developing and implementing property business plans in a highly entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee business planning process and implementation, which includes communications with senior management and properties to ensure there is alignment on asset strategy, expectations and timelines to maximize property value by meeting or exceeding underwriting assumptions
  • Assist in creation of annual operating and capital budgets. Collaborate with teams and impart property and market knowledge to create comprehensive budgets that meet targeted investment strategies and objectives.
  • Direct operations, management and leasing
  • Review and approve appraisal reports as completed by third party appraisal management firms
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses as requested by executive management
  • Participate in property calls with third party managers and leasing agents
  • In collaboration with the CapEx team, assess the capital needs/expenditures by property and work with capital investment team to develop a long-term cap ex plan for the portfolio that corresponds to stated strategy.

Qualifications:

International Commercial Real Estate Company seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, trustworthy and has experience dealing in Asset Management.  The successful candidate should (have):

  • Bachelor’s Degree; preferable in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or a related discipline
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-task entrepreneurial environment and prioritize tasks appropriately    
  • Minimum 6 years+ real estate and asset management experience nationally in the office and/ or retail sectors
  • Advanced user of excel, word, powerpoint. Argus preferable, but not required.
  • Strong analytic and financial skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to clearly, and concisely, communicate to internal teams and external third parties.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and handle competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Self-starter with the ability to independently complete projects and anticipate next steps.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Be a collaborative team player
