Position Overview Job Description: We’re hiring a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in Palo Alto, California! Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Senior Financial Analyst will support the CFO on a variety of projects and investment opportunities by creating financial models and providing an analysis of those models. The Senior Financial Analyst will also assist with reviewing investment opportunities. This growth-oriented role offers a unique opportunity for an individual with existing real estate finance skills to receive ongoing mentorship from the CFO, within a highly successful and dynamic real estate organization. The Senior Financial Analyst will have the opportunity to deepen his or her knowledge and skills while making meaningful contributions to the Company through critical thinking and analysis. While the environment is team-oriented and collaborative, the Senior Financial Analyst will be expected to take ownership of projects and work independently on the execution of building financial models and summarizing and presenting the findings in order to make initial recommendations.

Responsibilities:
  • Financial modeling
    • Create financial models to evaluate potential new investment opportunities, which include project and portfolio level performance and structured finance
    • Create financial models to evaluate property investment exit strategies with operating costs/revenue and income streams
    • Update financial models with actual data to evaluate investments
    • Summarize and present findings and recommendations
  • Work with accounting (CAO and Controller) to assist in report preparation for the Executive Committee
  • Debt financing analysis and structuring
  • Perform analysis for special projects
  • May include other duties and responsibilities as necessary
Knowledge/Skills:
  • Basic understanding of GAAP and tax fundamentals
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects, within a collaborative and team-oriented environment
Qualifications & Education:
  • Approximately 3-5 years of real estate industry finance experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, or related field
  • Advanced Excel skills are required
  • Excellent communication – written, verbal, and listening skills
