The Transaction Manager plays a critical role at Berkadia, utilizing their expertise in CRE finance to lead analytical projects, mentor junior analysts, and to support Berkadia s mortgage bankers and investment sales professionals meet the needs of Berkadia s customers. The Transaction Manager will have experience working on a number of real estate transactions, with experience conducting due diligence, valuing CRE properties, sizing loans, and overseeing critical process driven tasks to drive transactions to closing.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Support Mortgage Bankers source and execute business.
Participates in local marketing and sales efforts.
Create, schedule, and coordinate client-focused events to promote and develop current and new client relationships.
Leverages Company s centralized resources including teams based in Hyderabad, India.
Analyze and underwrite commercial and multifamily real estate, which includes generating pro forma valuations and sizing appropriate loan options.
Prepares formal loan submissions for lenders.
Reviews due diligence material for real estate transactions.
Interfaces with external parties including owners of real estate, providers of capital, vendors, consultants and attorneys.
Leads deal processing from applications to closings, including the coordination and review third party reports; the collection of borrower/property level due diligence; coordinating with lender s counsel and title.
Help manage client relationships through the loan transaction process.
Prepare weekly activity reports and manage the mortgage banking pipeline.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor s degree required; Business-related field of study preferred;
At least 3-5 years of professional experience in Commercial Real Estate lending; experience with agency lending preferred;
Previous experience with cash flow and cost report analysis;
Experience leading small projects;
Experience with MS Office, especially Excel;
Experience with Argus preferred
Ability to interface with customers;
Solid communication skills, both written and verbal;
Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
Ability to communicate clearly and concise both written and verbally with all levels of an organization; Ability to manage expectations, informing colleagues of potential delays due to conflicting priorities.
