Location: 420 Lexington Avenue, Suite 900, New York, NY 10170

 

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will participate in all aspects of the firm’s direct real estate investment activities and will actively interact with the senior partners of the firm and will report to the Principal and Head of Asset Management. 

  • Manage all aspects of the asset-level value creation for specific properties within the firm’s real estate portfolio through developing long-term leasing and repositioning strategies including major construction, managing asset operations and staff, conducting loan negotiations and all other property-related activities
  • Assemble and lead leasing, marketing and property management teams for each asset; develop and maintain relationships with local leasing brokers, lending officers and third-party service providers
  • Monitor, instruct and oversee property managers and their related day-to-day responsibilities
  • Generate lease proposals; negotiate new leases, renewals, lease restructures and commission agreements
  • Prepare and present institutional investor budgets, business plans, annual and quarterly reporting
  • Execute capital expenditure programs related to tenant improvements and redevelopment plans
  • Collaborate with in-house and external legal teams toward various objectives
  • Assist acquisitions staff in conducting due diligence, site visits and financial modeling for new acquisitions and dispositions
  • Participate in annual client update meetings
  • Visit properties on a regular basis and provide clear guidance to on-site team

 

Education

  • MBA or other advanced degree required

 

Prior Experience

  • Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience

 

Other

  • Strong valuation, due diligence and real estate financial analysis skills
  • Firm understanding of the real estate industry with demonstrated interest in Real Estate
  • Proficiency in Argus, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and management skills required
  • Ability to operate with an owner’s perspective
  • Capable of successfully integrating within the company’s culture
  • Market analysis skills to support decisions concerning rent rates, capital improvement programs, leasing strategies and property repositioning
  • Strong work ethic; capable of working and making decisions in an independent manner
  • Outstanding and proven written and oral presentation skills
  • Travel required
