JOB SUMMARY
  

Responsible for assisting in the planning and implementing strategic and tactical activities for marketing, insourcing/outsourcing of services to support a major business function or department.

Scope: Focus on either/or:
- large vertical or specialty group
- business function group within Capital Markets


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  


Assists the senior leader proxy in leading change and program management efforts for department; leads change and program management efforts for business function group; communicates with staff, public, corporate management and ownership; keeps stakeholders apprised of marketing activities and results through periodic reports, financial statements, newsletters and ongoing correspondence.

Leads and facilitates initiatives to support field operations such as: communication of best practices, policies and procedures; ensures shared knowledge to implement process improvements; facilitates process improvement by engaging appropriate resources in issue identification and resolution.

Identifies and participates in the selection of vendors; assists in managing relationship(s) with contracted vendors; may participate in bidding process, negotiating prices and selecting vendors for needed services.

Conducts ongoing evaluation of best practices and standards; identifies improvement opportunities; works with other support and business teams to refine and implement best practices.

Plans and organizes corporate promotional marketing activities and showcases CBRE products and services to internal and external clients.

May manage the information flow that is communicated to various media channels; provides information for press releases, feature stories and by-line articles.

Formulates, directs and coordinates marketing activities and policies to business function group to promote products and services; may work with internal Marketing and Communications resources to leverage opportunities.

Plays active role in ensuring departmental priorities and all deadlines are met; supervises staff including training and monitoring performance issues.

Active advisory role on execution of strategic initiatives.

Special projects as required.

Other duties as assigned.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  


Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
  

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and a minimum of 8 years related experience.




Previous Supervisory experience preferred.

Knowledge of Capital Markets industry.

Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.




Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.




Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.




Proficient in Microsoft Suite Products including: Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.




Focus on project planning and execution within time and budget constraints. Adept at problem solving and decision making.

Prior experience in commercial real estate/capital markets marketing or financial analysis required.

Decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve general results. Responsible for setting department deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause long-term impact to co-workers, supervisor, department and/or line of business.
