Workday is looking for a Workplace Experience Leader to create and deliver a remarkable Workplace Experience across all owned buildings, leased spaces, serviced facilities, and home offices. As the Sr. Director of the Workplace Experience you will lead many aspects of Workday life by ensuring that the Workplace Ethos of “A Great Place to Work” is delivered in every office every day! This is achieved by:
*Delivering Workday’s Global “Workplace Experience” program, defining the optimal end user experience for employees, guests, and partners, across all Workplaces.
*Providing strong people leadership for the 50+ global Workplace Coordinators that deliver the day-to-day experiences and operations at many of our offices. Workplace Coordinators manage our facilities and also serve as Workday culture champions, playing a key role in employee experiences at their office as well as programs with the local community.
*Continuously growing productive and positive relationships with Workday employees, internal stakeholders, and clients, to understand business needs, the user experience and customer satisfaction.
*Through partnership with regional Real Estate Directors, HR, & Office Leaders, ensuring Workday is delivering an outstanding and predictable workplace experience that enables high performance.
*In partnership with the SVP of Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness (SVPLOE), setting and measuring a progressive Workplace Experience Strategy that addresses the evolving future of work -- fluidity of the workforce, changing expectations/needs, technology advancements, and geographic trends and shifts.
The Workplace Coordinators play an integral role in the operation of each office that are occupied by the company’s sales, executive, administrative, services, and development teams. The value proposition of this organization is to ensure that their client’s office needs are served through the everyday operation and staff engagement in each Workplace (eliminating the need to for their clients to be involved with daily office functions):
- Facilitate that day-to-day operations are running smoothly i.e. periodic maintenance checks and resets of shared spaces between meetings.
- Enhance the workplace community through regular events relating to community, wellness and general interest groups, integrating with existing programs currently operated within People and Purpose and Business Technology.
- Daily curating and the communication of office activities via multiple channels, e.g. digital boards, intranet, message boards
Success of this organization will be measured through a variety of operational metrics including the quarterly global Net Promoter Scores. As the company continues to implement “free addressing” a desk and space sharing strategy, the Sr. Director of Workplace Experience will be required to continue to refine the program to increase occupancy per square foot per employee, which improves space utilization that ultimately reduces the amount of real estate required per employee. The active implementation of this program will allow occupancy costs to grow at a slower rate than the enterprise and contribute to improving margins and EPS.
This position is located in Pleasanton, CA and will require travel to Workday’s global locations. This role reports to the Vice President of Global Real Estate, Workplace, and Procurement. This role has a dual solid line reporting to the SVP, Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness to sync our Workplace Experience Strategy with Workday and the enablement of our Workmates.
