We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Investment Advisory Group (“IAG”) team in Nashville, TN. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated self-starter possessing a passion for real estate, strong financial skills, business acumen and leadership to work with the Investment Advisory Group in analyzing and underwriting multiple commercial real estate acquisition and disposition opportunities in office, industrial, retail, and multifamily product types across the US.

Essential Job Functions:

• Develop advanced financial modeling and analysis using Argus and MS Excel for a variety of property types including acquisition and development of office, industrial, multifamily, retail, land, and all other property types that may be called upon.
• Gather, organize, and present demographic, economic, and real estate market research.
• Draw objective conclusions, formulate opinions, and generate sound market recommendations based upon information collected from multiple data sources.
• Analyze and review offering materials, leases, operating statements, development budgets, equity and debt term sheets, third party due diligence reports, etc. and provide insights, updates and critical factors for the team to consider.
• Acquire key property and market information by gathering information from deal leads, brokers, property managers, etc.
• Support business development opportunities and aid on special projects.
• Take ownership of all financial, market and property specific elements of all marketing materials including Broker Opinions of Value (BOV’s) and offering memorandums including but not limited to initial drafting of descriptive language and summaries of inputs.
• Effectively present all underwriting/presentation materials to senior management providing reasonable support for each of the inputs utilized based on sound real estate fundamentals, specific property attributes and market knowledge.
• Support providing exceptional quality and customer service to our clients through taking things personally and striving to achieve the highest standards.
• Make recommendations on how to improve processes, efficiencies and overall team performance.

Education and Experience Requested:

• Advanced knowledge of Excel and Argus is required – including ability to model complex debt and partnership structures.

• Strong research, writing, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills with great attention to detail
• Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships - proven record of providing excellent customer service, both internal and external.
• Effective time manager – proven ability to consistently manage multiple projects with accuracy, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Takes initiative and is a self-starter. Can identify a need and works toward a solution without requiring direction.
• Brings high energy, enjoys a fast-paced environment, and is driven to succeed. Keen ability to work efficiently, whether autonomously or as a member of a team.
