JOB SUMMARY
  

Supervises a team responsible for day-to-day operations related to the cash management function. Monitors operations and outcomes to ensure compliance with procedures and the security of client banking information.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  


Troubleshoots problems and issues that arise within the cash management function.

Reviews and monitors banking systems and processes to ensure they are in compliance with acceptable accounting practices and applicable regulations.

Oversees development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans as they relate to banking needs. Monitors operations to ensure team adheres to policies, procedures and regulations.

Advocates and trains Client Accounting Services staff on cash management and banking requirements.

Reviews and approves wire transfers. Resolves discrepancies associated with transfers to facilitate release of funds.

Reviews and resolves fraud prevention exception files.


Perform miscellaneous duties and projects in support of Cash Management.

Performs other duties as assigned.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  


Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
  

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus a minimum of six years experience in banking or related field with automated systems or Associates or Bachelor's degree with a minimum of four years related experience. Prior supervisory experience preferred.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
  


Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively interact with senior management, employees, regulators and external auditors. Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large group of employees. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues.


FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
  


Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.


REASONING ABILITY
  


Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.


OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
  


Advanced knowledge of computer software and hardware (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite Products).


SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
  


Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.
