Job description:

The Director, Acquisitions and Development will be an integral member of the development group.  The Director will work alongside other development professionals with primary job responsibilities focused on sourcing, underwriting, acquiring, and disposing of hotel real estate investments.  In addition to the primary job responsibilities, the Director will be involved in fund management (including semi-annual asset valuations), debt sourcing, joint-venture relationships, and other investment related tasks.

 

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of hotel investment experience.  This person will have an understanding of the real estate investment process and advanced skills in excel, market analysis, and pro forma generation.  The person will need to be internally motivated and have the desire and capability to generate new business leads. The candidate MUST be a team player and be willing and able to do whatever is in the best interests of the company.

 

The Company:

Magna is a vertically integrated private equity fund focused exclusively on the hospitality industry.  Magna has management expertise in operations, development, acquisitions, construction, interior design and investments.  Magna was formed in 1998 and has over $3.0 billion in AUM.   

 

Magna Hospitality Group is the operating company responsible for the day to day oversight of all of Magna’s investments.  MHG is comprised of more than 50 professionals covering a multitude of disciplines.  MHG is organized under numerous operating structures with a specific niche on urban/infill select service and lifestyle hotels.

 

Magna Capital Management is the investment company responsible for fund raising, investment, and management of Magna’s family of funds.  MCM is currently deploying its sixth discretionary equity fund, a $255 million fund.

 

Compensation:

A competitive base salary and bonus structure commensurate with experience will be offered.  Additionally, future investment opportunities in Magna’s investment funds may be extended for candidates that are able to prove they are effective within this role.
